There are many so called weight loss experts on the internet.  I, unlike them do not intend to sell you anything, I just want to give you some solid proven tips that I have encountered over the years.

1.  Stop eating all those Carbs

Even though carbohydrates are proven to be good for you too much of a good thing can also be bad for you.  If your current energy stores are full the body will take these carbohydrates and store them as fat.  I’m not saying cut out carbohydrates all together but try to put a limit on how many you consume.

2. Half what you eat.

As you are not exercising you do not need to consume as much food as you would while exercising.  The usual amount minimal exercising folk eat is usually way over the required amount. You do not need those extra calories each day cut back and you will begin to see its not too hard to understand how to lose weight without exercising.

3.  Eat more protein.

Protein is essential for your bodies needs. It helps rebuild and repair cells and tissue.  It is also a great food to eat because it fills you up very quickly. A great example of a protein source is a chicken breast or if your vegetarian you can buy protein supplements  in your local health stores.

4. Eat more vegetables.

Like protein, eating lots of vegetables is a great way to fill you up quickly and stop you feeling hungry for hours on end.  Its a well known fact vegetable contains very few carbohydrates. At the same time they provide a great source of fiber and vitamins.

5. Eat 3 large meals each day.

This may already be the norm for you and if that’s so you can skip this part and continue with your quest to lose weight. For those of you eating four, five or even six smaller meals each day this is for you!

The smaller portions more frequently idea can work for some people but the way I see it is the more often your eating the more your body is going to want to take in more food. Surely it is more efficient to take in three large meals and feel full for as long as possible before your next meal. It also saves a lot of time and shopping trips.

6. Every little bit helps.

Instead of taking the elevator why not take the stairs for once? Or maybe you can walk to the store to buy groceries.  Remember every small bit of exercise like this you do will be burning those calories away, which combined with a healthy diet plan will have you in great shape in no time at all.

7. The fall back plan.

If you have followed everything on how to lose weight without exercise as best as you see possible and you are still not seeing the results you want. Then I suggest adding small amounts of exercise into your daily routine. This does not have to be anything big like joining a gym or getting a personal trainer. Simple things like walking a dog if you have one or even a neighbors, I find exercise more enjoyable when you have someone with you to keep you company. Time fly’s when talking and before you know it you have walked 5 miles, just think of all those calories burned.

Be sure to weigh yourself regularly, once in the morning, once after a meal  and once just before you go to sleep. I found it useful to keep a small diary with notes on what worked for me and weight progress. Not only does it bring a smile to my face when I wake up and see I have lost weight, but it will keep you motivated as you have it in writing that whatever you are doing is working, so don’t give up! Mix it up and you will find a winning formula.
